Tsubame Industrial Materials Museum (Visit: About40min.)

Museum that covers the history of the development of the Tsubame metalworking industry. See, touch, and experience the skills of local manufacturing artisans whose art has been passed down since the Edo Period (1603 and 1868).

※ Closed:Every Monday and the next day of National Holiday. New Year holidays

Gyokusendō (Visit: About40min.)

It is possible to observe the production process of Tsuiki Doki, hand-hammered copperware which has been handed down in Tsubame City. Nobuo Tamagawa was designated as a holder of Important Intangible Cultural Property (Living National Treasure), and Gyokusendo's shop, storehouse, hammering studio and gangi were designated as National Registered Tangible Cultural Properties (building).

Located in Tsubame City, Niigata, this metal processing company manufactures cutlery recognized throughout the world.

One of the few Japanese manufacturers of knives that offers tours. You can view the production site up close.
