Let’s Go To YAMANASHI by Rail

A Diamond Fuji Seen from
Lake Yamanaka

Diamond Fuji is a phenomenon that occurs at sunrise and sunset when the sun seems to overlap the summit of Mt. Fuji. It is seen from Lake Yamanaka at sunset. The twilight-colored Diamond Fuji appears when the sun sets at the peak of Mt. Fuji. You can see it around 15: 30-16: 30 (depending on the season and location), so it is highly recommended, even if you are not an early bird. It is viewable for a long time from mid-October to mid-November and from late January to late February.

C Shosenkyo

The gorge located in Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park was registered in June 2019 as ““Kobushi UNESCO Eco Park.” Over an extended period, granite has been scraped off by the river, which has created what they call the most beautiful gorge in Japan, featuring cliffs, strange-shaped rocks and stones. Above all, the appearance of Kakuenpo, contrasted with the beautiful autumn leaves, is simply breathtaking. There are many other highlights, such as the Senga-Taki waterfall and stone gate, which is about 30m high. You can enjoy the promenade along the gorge and see the seasonally changing canyon up-close.
